Crockfords Cairo

Interior photography at Crockfords Cairo.

A gaming room is lit for the tables. There are no windows, no clocks and no daylight to balance against, and every fixture in the ceiling is a different colour temperature to the one beside it.

That is a correction problem before it is a composition problem. The frames were built around the house lighting rather than against it, keeping the deep colour the room is designed to have while pulling the mixed sources back into agreement, so the finished pictures look like the room at its best rather than like a room that has been fixed.

Shot outside operating hours, with no guests in frame.
