Mövenpick Hotel
Photography at Movenpick Pyramids, with the Giza plateau in frame.
When a hotel's view is the Pyramids, the view is the product and everything else is supporting cast.
The difficulty is atmosphere. Giza sits under haze for most of the year, and haze does to a distant pyramid exactly what it does to a distant mountain — flattens it, greys it, and drops it into the sky. The frames that work are made when the air is briefly clear, usually early, and they are worth waiting several mornings for.
Get it right and the hotel owns an image no competitor can copy, because no competitor has that skyline.
